Personally, I think it is a bit funny and people, who are against the legal sexual activity, are very prude. Of course, I hate every form of child pornography. However, it is not the best way to find with it.
OK, I can send the copy of my passport or driving license. But, some children can steal and copy mother's passport, cannot they? So, Linden fights windmills. Better solution would be to prevent making child avatarts.
I do not know how it will work. Probably, Linden will figure it out well.

Well that is an interesting theory as if that was going to solve the problem. They are not looking at getting rid of the content only making it at least difficult for the young to see and make it possible for it not be in the face of those who would not prefer to see. All those who want to still can. How is this bad?

I see some irony in your comment. You demand age checking on my personal data while you hide your personality. I just do not want my friends, relatives and family to realize what I am doing in SL. Can you guarantee that nobody will steal records containing personal information of player? Especially players, who like BDSM.
Now, I know how age checking works. You cannot go to places related to sex, especially BDSM. But, you can go to other places, with murders, zombies and so on. I am very sorry for you if you count dangerous sex, which is natural process and you do not count dangerous murders.

I am very sorry for you if you, as a parent, do not listen to your children but you demand others to protect your children.
I marvel on you because you must live in a shield instead of real world. Otherwise, you would know that everybody can find easily any hard pornography material in the internet. I wonder what your opinion can be about censorship in some countries. If you leave your shield, you will see that countries, which censor internet access of their citizens exist. Would you live in such country.
